Today I received a letter from a resident in Norton who read the Gazette’s article on my letter to the Secretary of State about planning. Sadly it seems that Norton is suffering in the same way that many places in Stockton South are, with historic and turn of the century houses being bulldozed to make way for out of character blocks of modern flats. I have passed the correspondence to Ian Galletley, my newly selected colleague who is the Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Stockton North.
It is so sad to see the flawed planning guidelines causing problems right across our Borough.
