It looks like there is probably going to be a by-election in Yarm. It is not my place to go into the detail of the inner workings of local politics in the town, but I know that local Conservatives have an excellent slate of candidates ready to stand. What will be fascinating is whether Labour can even find a candidate; they seem to have all but disappeared these days. I would not be surprised if they cannot even find someone willing to stand as a Labour candidate, afterall they have let local people down so badly over the years. Will they even dare put a name forward or have they given up on Yarm altogether?
