I visited James Cook University Hospital. The hospital is well run and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I met patients from Thornaby and enjoyed a cup of coffee in one of the cafes.
I spent this afternoon in Thornaby, attending the Yorkshire day celebrations. The weather was, unfortunately, not great and this meant not as many residents were in attendance as last year. The event itself though was impressive, with more stands and a variety of local groups represented. It was good to receive such a welcome reception as I went round and to see the Yorkshire Regiment recruiting stand putting in an appearance.
