James Cook

Last night I attended a meeting of the Friends of the Holistic Care Centre at James Cook University Hospital.  The group does some excellent work raising funds for the centre and is entirely voluntary.  James Cook, along with North Tees, serves people across Stockton South and it is thanks to voluntary goups such as the friends that such a high quality of aftercare and support services can be provided.

Night in the office

I was in the constituency office all night preparing for a suite of new equipment which will be arriving in the next two weeks.  I am looking forward to getting some of the new software which we are expecting as it should make a big difference to what we are able to do locally.

Harrier Close

Last week I was contacted by a resident of Harrier Close in Thornaby to ask for help in dealing with a patch of overgrown wasteland.  After raising the issue with Stockton Council I understand it is now going to be dealt with.  Apparently the resident in question had previously approached both the MP and local Councillors but to no avail.  Let’s hope this issue can now be resolved.
