Last night I had an excellent meeting with my campaign manager to look at our plans for the first half of 2010. The election is now getting near and that means newsletters will be a bit more “political” than they have in the past as the focus shifts onto who is to be Stockton South’s next MP. Whatever the result I hope it is a positive and clean campaign and very much look forward to meeting as many residents as possible in the coming months.

New Year Meeting
Today I had the first team meeting of the New Year. It was something of a challenge getting to the office given the road conditions but in the end everyone made it. We discussed plans for the coming months, including the likely election in May (the latest an election can be held is June but the accepted most likely date is 6th May, although anything could happen!)
The team is looking forward to some exciting campaigning over the coming months, with a number of new ideas and initiatives in the pipeline.

We can’t go on like this
Labour MPs are calling for a secret ballot on the future of Gordon Brown as leader of their Party. Like many people I believe we should all have a secret ballot on his future as Prime Minister, the General Election is now long overdue…
