PD Ports and Tesco

A busy morning including a meeting with and then tour of PD Ports in Middlesbrough with my neighbouring Teesside MPs.  Afterwards I held surgeries at the office then we did a public surgery at Tesco, Ingleby Barwick.

In the evening I visited the Robert Atkinson Centre in Thornaby to support a new community sports club and then met up with some of our Conservative local Councillors to discuss a variety of issues.

Kirklevington

I spent today in Kirklevington, delivering my latest newsletter and meeting residents with some of our local team.

Councillors and candidates

This morning I attended a meeting of Conservative Councillors and candidates for the coming local elections in May.  We have an excellent group of people standing this year, with some really enthusastic and committed new candidates who want to represent their home communities.

Berwick, Police and Ball

Today I was the guest speaker at the Berwick Conservatives Ladies’ Luncheon Club – quite a long drive up but a great group of people working hard for their community.

In the afternoon when I got back I had a meeting with a local police officer and some of my regular surgeries meetings, in the evening I attended the Stockton Conservatives Ball, which was an excellent event with a record turnout.

EMA

Following all the discussion about the abolition of EMA this interesting article from 2007 might put some of Labour’s opportunism into perspective:
