Wedding and Chernobyl

After watching the Royal wedding I went along to a local street party in Eaglescliffe.  Everyone seemed to be having a great time on this most memorable of days.

In the evening I attended a fundraiser in Stockton for the children of Chernobyl.  Excellent work is done by a range of local groups who bring children from the area still so badly affected by radiation to the UK for short breaks.

Egglescliffe Parish Council and Police Federation

This morning I met representatives of the Police Federations for both Cleveland and County Durham.  We had a useful discussion and I am going to pass their comments to the Home Secretary.

In the afternoon I helped with the local elections and in the evening I attended the Annual General Meeting of Egglescliffe Parish Council.

Arc to TVU

A packed day including a meeting with Council officers, visiting Arc to discuss the arts in Stockton, a visit to meet young carers at the Eastern Raven’s Trust, a neeting with the new Local Enterprise Partnership and with residents from Hilton to discuss the wind farm proposed for their doorsteps.

In the evening I went out campaigning with some of our excellent Conservative Council candidates.
