The last week was a busy one, including meetings with local Councillors, residents in Yarm, a supermarket surgery at Ingleby Barwick Tesco yesterday, a meeting with the Coroner, an hour long interview on BBC Tees and visiting Queens Campus of Durham University.

Today I spoke at a BBQ for Bishop Auckland Conservatives.

Yesterday I was guest speaker at a BBQ held by Richmond Conservatives.

It was disappointing to see Darlington MP Jenny Chapman totally misrepresenting my campaign for the renaming of Teesside airport. I have always said that I want to see a comprehensive plan to renew the struggling transport hub, with local businesses and the community having a say. I do also want it to change its name, and I am delighted at the huge and positive response this has received. Now Ms Chapman claims I am “kicking it when it is down”, which I am not.

I was in the office for most of this morning for a number of meetings and surgeries. In the evening I was guest speaker at a fundraiser for South Tees Conservatives.
