On Friday night I spoke at York University Conservative Association on a range of topics, including being an MP and the coalition government. The following morning International Development Minister, Alan Duncan MP, visited Ingleby Barwick golf club to meet local party members.

HRH The Duke of York
Today saw a visit by HRH The Duke of York to open the excellent new Nifco factory in Eaglescliffe. I was delighted to be invited to meet him, followed by a lunch and then the official opening with over 100 invited guests. This is a great company which has made a significant investment in our area, creating over one hundred additional jobs.
I was then interviewed by Tyne Tees followed by a meeting of the Executive of Stockton Conservatives in the evening.

Afterwards I held a surgery in Yarm library. In the evening I attended a meal with our Member of the European Parliament and a group of local Teesside businesses to discuss a range of issues facing the sub region.
On Saturday I attended a regional Conservative Party conference in Durham where we discussed the Police and Crime Commissioner elections taking place in November.
