I had a day full of meetings in the constituency, mostly held at my office in Stockton. This included a meeting with representatives of the Congolese community in Teesside to discuss the situation in the DRC, which was informative and useful. Clearly the issues in DRC still have a long way to go before it can return to any sort of stability.

In the evening I attended a meeting in Yarm with the residents group who are opposing the Morley Carr Farm development plans. They are a strong group with a number of legitimate concerns about the plans which deserve to be heard.

This morning was the Annual General Meeting of Stockton Conservatives. Congratulations to all those elected to serve as officers of the Association for the coming year. In the afternoon I met with a number of Ingleby Barwick residents to discuss a range of issues which I will be taking up on their behalf.

A very busy constituency day today, including an excellent meeting hosted by Schools North East with over a dozen local head teachers from across Teesside and a meeting with a range of local businesses from across the region in the evening. My surgery in Yarm was particularly well attended, with a range of issues raised including concerns over the proposed developments at Morley Carr Farm.

Last night I attended a Conservative Policy Forum meeting for Richmond Conservatives in Leeming Bar.

Today I had a number of meetings at the office, followed by lunch with a number of Business people and the Evening Gazette to discuss their 2020 campaign and then a surgery at Tesco in Ingleby Barwick.
